Located 2 minutes off I-84 about ½ hour from Hartford, these recreational lots is where you can store your boat, set up your picnic table or park your RV. The prior owner sold the lots with a deed restriction that they cannot be used for building a home, but may be purchased by adjacent owners and used for septic system repair. Purchasers intending to use the property for lake access should not own a primary residence closer than within a 10 mile radius of the lake. Like many area lake deed restrictions, Lake Chaffee covenants drafted in 1958 reference no trailers or tents without permission from the Association Board of Directors. The intent was to discourage "tent villages" and mobile homes. Today one can drive around all these lakes and find boat trailers. That was not the intended use of the word trailer. Also RVs are self contained registered motor vehicles, not dwellings or buildings.
