The inn is located just minutes from the mini cultural capitol of the East Coast, the town of Northampton. This area is known for its 5 colleges (UMASS, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire and Amherst Colleges). Northampton boasts over 60 restaurants along with numerous theaters, art galleries, parks and musical venues.

Situated minutes from I-91 in the heart of the Pioneer Valley, the property is ½ hour north of Connecticut and about 20 minutes from Vermont. The Basketball hall of fame is 25 minutes away, Bradley International Airport is 45 minutes, the Lee exit on the Mass Pike for the Berkshires is about 1 hour and Boston is 2 hours. Trout fishing is available in the river which is said to also host Atlantic salmon.

The building has a total of 14 bedrooms, 13 full baths and 3 half baths. All rooms have cable TV and wireless internet. The rooms with Jacuzzi tubs overlooking the falls are quite popular. Room rates increase in May and October due to parent weekends and graduations. The building was a total renovation project a few years back with all new systems, fully sprinkled to modern fire code, 16 new tile floor baths, 107 replacement windows, etc. The result is a refreshing and exhilarating ambiance created by 12 foot high ceilings, wood floors and the rumble of cascading falls.
